Leadership Conference
brought the newest developments in
positive psychology, including advanced techniques for effective communication, tools to connect easily and
productively with people form different cultures, an opportunity to learn and apply practical networking and a
mindset to liberate yourself from the perils of perfection -- to achieve results. Our speakers Kurt Shuster,
Caroline Samne, Harvey Schwartz and Sema Burney did an outstanding job of delivering a highly interactive engaging
event: 96% of survey responders agreed that the conference met and exceeded their
expectations.

Luncheon.
Presentation by Dr. Mary Perri,
Vice-President of Provincial Affairs at RxD.
Mary spoke about the pharmaceutical
industry: trends, opportunities and innovation. Mary has been on the forefront
of strategic innovation throughout her career. Prior to taking on the post of Vice-President at RxD, she
occupied the role of Director, Strategic Planning and Business Consulting at Pfizer
Canada in Montreal and earned her PhD in Education Technology. She is constantly seeking an edge for
business evolution and will share her insights in this informative and intimate
luncheon.

Presentation by Dr. Hartley Stern,
Executive Director of the Jewish General Hospital.
Dr. Stern spoke about the role of business in
strengthening the healthcare system, proposing ways for the business community to get more involved in searching
for solutions to resolve the difficulties facing the Québec health care system.

2011 Luncheon.
Presentation by Debora Must,
President of Aylmer-Must Healthcare Services, a major
Montreal provider of nursing services to both public and private sectors.
We invited Debora to speak about her life, her
work, Quebec healthcare and its challenges, the role of nurses and how her agency is helping to fill healthcare
needs. Debora also inspired us with a story of her work in Africa, where she is helping to bring
healthcare to a village in Burundi. This lucheon was part of
the HBAC "Remarkable Women, Outstanding Contributions" series, which
celebrate dynamic and inspiring female leaders among us who have made outstanding contributions to
healthcare, their organization or community, have overcome challenges and succeeded with perseverance and
passion.
